CR Converter [Greasmonkey Script]

Postby Cireland » Fri Sep 04, 2009 7:45 pm

Made and owned by holyschmidt

I have just been given the approval (by marko_tmc) for the use of this tool. :yahoo:
http://board.ikariam.org/index.php?page ... post525216

Like the previous tool, It is a greasemonkey script, so if you need help getting that installed (a must-have for Ikariam users), please visit http://ikariamlibrary.com/?content=Greasemonkey%20Scripts as it has very good installation instructions.

This tool will create a read-only textbox at the bottom of Combat Report pages. The text within this box can then be copy/pasted into the Ikariam boards for easy viewing (I tried to make it look like a screenshot, only in text form).

Screenshots of both land + sea battles are pasted below. Keep in mind that currently the text only translates to the Ikariam board. Pasting on this board (or any other) is not yet supported and should be used at your own risk.

I would like to welcome any comments/suggestions, specifically how I can make this tool better, or if it is not working for you.

Changelog
Version 1.4:
- Feature: Added support for "plaintext" view (void of coloring, images, links, etc).
Version 1.3:
- Bugfix: Script disabled if language pack not found.
Version 1.2:

Version 1.1:
- Re-write using jQuery.
- Auto-Updater added.
- Added several languages (currently support: Bulgarian, Chinese, Dutch, English, Greek, Hebrew, Polish, Romanian, Viatnamese).
- Resources cached in the "detailed" report and now included in final summary (if the detailed page is visited).
- Images now used for displaying looted resources.
- Support for various formats via radio-button selection (ajaxchat, ikariam, phpbb)
NOTE: In order to use the "phpbb" format, custom bbcode need to be added by an admin to the forum codes. Info can be found at the bottom of the userscripts page.
- Added two "metric" lines. The first is a straight Generals score loss, due strictly to units killed for each side. The second is a "damage" calculation using the resources looted and the loss of units. This is nothing more than a resource count drop for each side (attackers include drop due to units losts, defenders include drop due to units lost + resources looted). Each resources is assigned 1 point in the damage calculation.
Version 0.5:
- Feature: Added support for Arabic (ae) servers (thanks DotK)
- Feature: Added support for Portuguese (pt) servers (thanks nanook)

The "circular" option has been removed, as a couple IDIOTS from the German server were abusing its (unintended) capabilities.

Please be sure to update your GreaseMonkey version of this script to 2.8.3 to ensure the script remains approved for our server.

Goauld is joining the battle on the attacker's side with the following units: 462754013967343644110220
The attackers won the battle because they penetrated the wall and because the defenders did not have any units on site to close the breach.
